This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of veterinary with a view of protecting animals against diseases, production of safe animal products and protection of the population against diseases common to animals and human beings. State veterinary institutions shall carry out the following functions: (a) performance of special arrangements for liquidation of the outbreaks of animal diseases; (b) veterinary and sanitary inspection of animal products; and (c) issuance of veterinary certificates.
