The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to a warning and alarm service in case of flooding. Article 1 establishes a Flooding Reporting Service in the Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Article 7 lists the following flooding levels: Level I - starting to overflow the river banks , Level II - flooding of green land or forestry areas, Level III - flooding of individual plots of land, streets or cellars, Level IV - flooding of great areas including streets and plants, danger for human beings, animals, objects and plants.
