Consumer Protection Act of Bhutan, 2012.

This Act makes provision for the protection of consumers and for the safety of consumer goods and services. The Act establishes a Consumer Board and an Office of Consumer protection, and defines their composition and functions. It, among other things: sets out consumers’ rights and responsibilities; prohibits false and misleading representation; provides for the right of consumers to redress against suppliers or manufacturers; and provides for administrative penalties.
