The purpose of these Measures is to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, producers and sellers, strengthen the pollution free food certification management, and promote the ecological environmental protection and sustainable development. The Text consists of 42 Articles. The Measures provide for the conditions, procedures and requirements to be satisfied for pollution free food certification, and certified pollution free food production, processing, import and sale activities. The national Certification and Accreditation Administration shall be responsible for the unified management, supervision and coordination on pollution free food certification. The remaining articles of Measures make provision, inter alia, for pollution free food labelling and advertisement; inspection of and enforcement on pollution free food; and offences and penalties.
