The present Ordinance introduces some amendments to the Ordinance by the Federal Minister for Traffic, Innovation and Technology concerning docks and other facilities and works on waterways (BGBl. II No. 298/2008). In particular, the Ordinance rewords article 8, number 9, dealing with hazardous goods; article 8 concerning the construction, alteration or maintenance of ports. The title of Part 8 is changed as follows: "Monitoring and periodic review of shipping facilities". Moreover, the Ordinance amends article 12 establishing that the handling of hazardous goods may only be carried out on suitable terminals and must be supervised by a competent person in accordance with the industrial safety regulations.
