These Rules, consisting of 104 sections divided into seven Parts and completed by four Schedules, apply to rock lobster fishery. The Rules provide for total allowable catch, limits and restrictions on the taking and possessing of rock lobster, areas where fishing rock lobster may occur, lobster fishery season, size limits, fishing apparatus, etc. The Rules set out provision relating to the different classes of recreational and commercial rock lobster fishing licences as specified in detail in the text. The Rules further provide for: unloading, sale, transfer and transportation of rock lobsters; reporting and tracking; tagging requirements; etc. Amendment deal with Infringement Notice Offences and Penalties; number of rock lobster pots according to lobster length of vessel and tonnage of vessel. Amendments deal with the following aspects contained into the schedules: Ports of Landing; Number of Rock Lobster Pots; Infringement Notice Offences and Penalties.
