Regional Decree No. 476 validating the Regulation on keeping, grazing and transhumance of livestock, except for cases regulated by the federal legislation.

This Regional Decree establishes the modalities of keeping, grazing and transhumance of livestock, except for cases regulated by the federal legislation. Places of keeping cattle must comply with zoological hygiene, veterinary and sanitary requirements ensuring animal welfare. Vagabondage, stray livestock and uncared for grazing and transhumance shall be prohibited. Sick animals or livestock that have had viral diseases shall not be authorized for grazing and transhumance. Grazing of cattle shall be authorized in especially reserved areas. Grazing of swine shall be prohibited.
