This Thai Agricultural Standard is established in accordance with the Agricultural Standards Act B.E. 2551 (2008) to promote mango commodity standard to meet its quality standard and safety. The Thai agricultural standard applies to commercial varieties of mangoes grown from Mangifera indica L. of the Anacardiaceae family, to be supplied fresh to the consumer, both green and ripe fruit, after preparation and packaging. This standard does not apply to mangoes for industrial processing. The Text provides for the requirements and conditions to be satisfied for the mango quality, packaging, marking or labeling, hygiene, pesticide residues, etc.
