This Measure of the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) requires any vessel using in defined areas longline gear other than that described in paragraphs 2, 3 or 4 of Conservation Measure 25-02 to demonstrate its ability to fully comply with one of the protocols specified in this Conservation Measure. Protocols concern sink rates of various types of longline gear by making use of Time-Depth Recorders (TDRs) and bottle tests.
