This part lays down rules and regulations on the following subparts: Subpart A laying down provisions regarding general requirements for interstate movement and importation, costs and charges; Subpart B—Importation of adult honey-bees, honeybee germ plasm, and bees other than honeybees from approved regions regulating approved regions, export certificate, notice of arrival, packaging of shipments, mailed packages, inspection, refusal of entry, ports of entry, risk assessment procedures for approving countries; Subpart C—Importation of restricted organisms regulating general requirements, restricted organisms, documentation, applying for a permit to import a restricted organism, review of permit applications, denial or revocation of permits, packaging of shipments, mailed packages, restricted organisms in a commercial vehicle arriving at a land border port in the United States, inspection, refusal of entry, ports of entry, post-entry handling; Subpart D—Transit of restricted organisms through the united states regulating documentation, packaging of transit shipments, notice of arrival, inspection and handling, eligible ports for transit shipments; Subpart E—Importation and transit of restricted articles consisting of general requirements and restriction regarding dead bees, export certificate, notice of arrival, mailed packages, restricted articles in a commercial bonded vehicle arriving at a land border port in the United States, refusal of entry, and ports of entry.
