For the period from June 20, 2003 to December 31, 2004, the number of Rhincodon Typus catches shall be 120. In addition, the limited number of Rhincodon Typus catches shall be reviewed year by year depending on the effectiveness of the implementation and the status of resource maintenance. When the number of Rhincodon Typus catches reaches 120 during the implementation period, the fishery operators shall be informed by announcements, media or broadcasting that the catch of Rhincodon Typus will be totally prohibited. The Rules further provide for obligations for notification of catches, restrictions and prohibitions, penalties, etc.
