This Law, consisting of 34 articles divided into eight Chapters, establishes the State Policy on Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (PEATER-PR) and the State Programme for Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (PROATER-PR). The objectives of PEATER-PR are: expand and qualify ATER in Paraná; contribute to sustainable rural development; promote integration between ATER entities to optimize service delivery and the creation, expansion and strengthening of ATER networks; increase the number of beneficiaries with a view to the universalize ATER services; assist and support economic, social and environmental initiatives that promote territorial, regional and local vocations; to increase the production, quality and productivity of agricultural and non-agricultural activities and services; increase the income of beneficiaries by adding value to products and by integrating them into local, state, national and international markets; improve the quality of life of its beneficiaries; advise beneficiaries on business management, organization, production, integration in markets and supply, according to the peculiarities of the activities, chains and production systems; develop actions for the use, management, protection, conservation and recovery of natural resources, agro-ecosystems and biodiversity; contribute to the implementation of sustainable production systems; to advise on society, cooperative and other forms of organization; train staff of ATER; promote the valuation of ATER professionals and agents; assisting the representation of family farmers and promoting partnerships; promote the development and implementation of technological and organizational innovations; promote the integration of ATER into research networks, providing monitoring, analysis, proposing research and developing sustainable production systems; support the implementation of food production zoning in Paraná, etc.
