This Recommendation of the North-East Atlantic Fisheries Commission (NEAFC), adopted in accordance to Article 5 of the NEAFC Convention, stipulates catch limits for Norwegian Spring-Spawning (Atlanto- Scandian) herring in 2023 and requires the Contracting States to establish conservation and management measures for its Norwegian Spring-Spawning (Atlanto-Scandian) herring fishery. The Recommendation further provides for entitled vessels to fish in the NEAFC Regulatory Area and requires the Contracting States to inform these measures to the Secretary.
