The Cork Sector Plan 2022-2026 has as strategic objectives:1) Enhance productivity and resilience of cork oak forests through: the extension of the production area and recovery of those existing in state of abandonment; making cork oak forests more resilient to biotic and abiotic disturbances, through prevention initiatives). 2) Make industry more competitive: through implementation of initiatives that improve quality of the final product; training, and capacity building of workers, awareness and education. 3) Improve coordination in the sector: through public private partnerships and better coordination among the public agencies. 4) Improve data collection and management.
