These Measures are formulated to standardize the management of data obtained in the exploration, development, related environmental protection, scientific and technological research, and resource survey activities in the deep-sea seabed areas, fully leverage the role of deep-sea data, protect the rights and interests of those providing deep-sea data, and promote the exchange, cooperation, and sharing of achievements in deep-sea science and technology. The Measures consists of 32 Articles divided into 6 Chapters: General provisions; Collection and submission of data; Storage and maintenance of data; Application and use of data; Legal liability; Supplementary provisions.
