Resolution WECAFC/15/2014/8 on Promoting the Implementation of the Voluntary Guidelines for the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forestry in the Context of National Food Security (Tenure Guidelines) and the Voluntary Guidelines for Securing Sustainable Small-Scale Fisheries in the Context of Poverty Eradication and Food Security (SSF Guidelines).

The resolution endorses the implementation of Small-Scale Fisheries (SSF) Guidelines in the WECAF region, as endorsed by the 31st Session of COFI. It calls for active participation in regional processes to promote and implement these guidelines, including the development of a Regional Plan of Action. Additionally, it emphasizes the promotion of Tenure Guidelines at regional, sub-regional, and national levels in coordination with FAO.
