Government Decree on limiting trawling for herring and sprat to a single herring quota area per fishing trip (No. 1727 of 1995).

This Government Decree establishes that Fishing vessels registered in Finland may, during a fishing trip, fish for herring or sprat using trawl gear only within the herring quota area of the Bothnian Bay (ICES sub-areas 30 and 31) or within the herring quota area of the Gulf of Finland and the Central Baltic Sea (ICES sub-areas 25–27, 28.2, 29, and 32). A fishing trip is considered to be an uninterrupted period during which the fishing vessel does not visit a port.
