This Law creates the State Programme to Support Farmers and Livestock Breeders Impacted by Prolonged Drought, aiming to mitigate the socio-economic effects of periods of drought in the State of Alagoas. The State Programme is intended to assist farmers and livestock breeders in the State of Alagoas. Funds from the State Programme shall not be used for administrative maintenance costs of any Public Administration Body or Entity, and may only be used to purchase or lease equipment, goods and services needed to respond in a timely manner to emergency situations and public calamities resulting from drought.
