This Chapter concerns the functions and the details of the Advisory Panel and the Committees on Pacific Hake and Whiting established by the Agreement between the Government of the United States and the Government of Canada signed on November 21, 2003. The Chapter defines the following terms: offshore whiting resources, as the transboundary stock of fish that is located in the offshore waters of the United States and; catch; scientific review group. Matters covered by this Chapter include: United States representation on joint management committee, on the scientific review group and on advisory panel; responsibilities of the Secretary of Commerce and cooperation with Canadian officials; administrative matters; enforcement measures; prohibited acts; penalties.
