The purpose of this Regulation is to standardize the work of ecological environmental protection inspection and supervision. The Regulation consists of 44 Articles divided into 8 Chapters: General provisions; Organizational leadership and institutional responsibilities; Scope and and content of inspection; Work procedures and methods; Inspection-based rectification; Application of inspection results; Team building and disciplinary accountability; Supplementary provisions. The Central Leading Group for Ecological Environmental Protection Inspection and Supervision shall be established. The Central Ecological and Environmental Protection and Supervision focus on assessing how well key national policies and regulations on ecological civilization and environmental protection are implemented. Key areas include enforcing laws and standards, fulfilling leadership responsibilities, addressing major regional and sectoral environmental challenges, promoting green development and carbon neutrality, correcting previous inspection issues, and responding to public environmental concerns.
