This Law establishes standards for responsibility in environmental management in the State of Pará. The objectives of this Complementary Law are: to provide budgetary guarantees and undertake commitments between fiscal and environmental responsibility; to structure a governance model based on financing objectives and the achievement of results in public environmental and sustainability actions and services; to encourage the creation of plans, programs, and actions focused on public environmental and sustainability actions and services, aiming, among others, to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations (UN); to facilitate the physical, operational, technical, and scientific improvement of the State's environmental management infrastructure; to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and deforestation; to promote investments in energy transition and clean energy, reforestation, pollution control, and increased productivity through the adoption of new technologies; to foster sustainable economic, social, and ecological development, etc.
