The ICCAT Rec. 17-06 shall be extended through 2022. The amendments provide that the Total Allowable Catch (TAC), inclusive of dead discards, is increased to 2,726 t for 2022. This new TAC results in revised specific quota allocations for Contracting Parties and Cooperating non-Contracting Parties, Entities and Fishing Entities (CPCs). If the Management Procedure (MP) is not adopted in 2022, the Commission will establish the 2023 TAC based on additional Standing Committee on Research and Statistics (SCRS) advice provided in 2022, including updated fishery indicators.
