This Complementary Law establishes a specific technical and financial support action for rural women in the State of Ceará, within the framework of a loan agreement between the State Government and the World Bank, aimed at implementing the Sustainable Rural Development Project – Projeto São José III (Phase II). Its main objectives are to promote the economic and social autonomy of rural women by financing agricultural and non‑agricultural productive initiatives linked to family farming, strengthening market access, management skills, innovation, and sustainable production practices. The law further seeks to enhance women’s participation as key actors in rural development, support income generation, foster climate resilience and agroecological practices, and expand technical advisory services to ensure sustainable livelihoods and improved food systems in rural communities.
