This Act establishes a uniform scheme for compensation as a result of the damages occurred following the exploration and extraction of bauxite by companies and state-owned enterprises entitled to extract bauxite. The Act covers the following matters: legal action to realise the claim for compensation; rights holder and persons entitled to receive compensation; right to obtain land restoration instead of claiming monetary compensation; alternative dispute settlement.
