This WCPFC Conservation and Management Measure establishes rebuilding actions for North Pacific striped marlin, which remains overfished and subject to overfishing. It sets a total annual catch limit of 2,400 metric tons for 2025–2027, with national catch allocations and provisions for reserve catch. Members are required to implement measures to stay within limits, release live marlin when limits are reached, and report catch and effort data. The measure supports stock recovery toward agreed rebuilding targets and will be reviewed in 2027 based on updated scientific assessments.
