This Resolution instructs the Government of Mongolia to undertake specific actions necessary for implementing the Law on Animal Genetic Resources. Measures include preparing for and conducting an assessment of the status of Mongolia’s animal genetic resources by 1 November 2019, and submitting the assessment results to the State Great Khural within the same year. The Government is further tasked with ensuring organizational and transitional arrangements required for the law’s implementation. The Resolution also requires the preparation of administrative normative acts prescribed by the law by 1 June 2018 and the organization of activities to promote awareness of the legislation. In addition, the Government is directed to draft and submit amendments to the Law on Offences to the State Great Khural by 1 March 2018. Oversight of implementation of the Resolution is assigned to the Standing Committee on Environment, Food and Agriculture of the State Great Khural.
