Action Plan to Prevent and Control Antimicrobial Resistance in Human Health for the Period of 2026-2030.

This Action Plan to Prevent and Control Antimicrobial Resistance in Human Health for the Period of 2026-2030 implements the national AMR strategy for 2023–2030 and aims to slow resistance, limit the spread of resistant microorganisms and infectious diseases, ensure antimicrobial availability, and promote rational use. The Plan sets specific objectives and measurable targets for 2026–2030, including awareness and knowledge improvements among authorities, health and veterinary staff and the public; strengthening AMR surveillance and reporting systems; reducing transmission of infectious agents; and promoting rational, safe, and responsible antimicrobial use in humans. Specific actions include establishing intersectoral coordination mechanisms, developing communication and training programmes, expanding laboratory and hospital surveillance, publishing annual national surveillance reports, strengthening infection control, monitoring antibiotic prescribing and retail sales, and implementing antimicrobial stewardship programmes.
