This Regulation supplements Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 by establishing rules governing Member States’ requests for approval of national payments in the wine sector for wine distillation, green harvesting and the grubbing up of productive vineyards in duly justified cases of market crisis. It sets out the criteria for determining the existence of such a crisis, defines the general eligibility conditions and the methodology for calculating the maximum support amounts, and ensures coherence between these national payments and other Common Agricultural Policy support measures applicable to the wine sector within the same production region.
