This Regulation establishes a framework for cooperation and coordination among Member States’ enforcement authorities responsible for applying the prohibition of unfair trading practices in the agricultural and food supply chain under Directive (EU) 2019/633. It applies to cross-border unfair trading practices relating to the sale of agricultural and food products between buyers and suppliers covered by that Directive, including certain rules on short-notice cancellations and practices involving operators established outside the Union. The Regulation aims to strengthen the effectiveness of the enforcement regime against practices that significantly depart from good commercial conduct and fair dealing, while remaining without prejudice to Union and national rules on private international law and judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters.
