This Act provides for the establishment of the New South Wales Dairy Industry Conference and defines its internal organization and its functions. The Act is divided into the following Parts: Preliminary (1), The New South Wales Dairy Industry Conference (2), Dairy industry functions of Safe Food (3), Provisions relating to deregulation of dairy industry (4), Financial matters (5), Miscellaneous (6) and 2 Schedules. Functions of the Conference include: to carry out investigations or inquiries into the general policies of the Food Authority with respect to the dairy industry; and to consult with the Food Authority on food safety schemes relating to the dairy industry under the Food Act 2003.
