This Communiqué provides rules for the possible outbreak of Clavibacter Michiganensis Subsp. Sepedonicus in the potatoes and the affected areas, in order to limit diffusion and apply eradication measures in compliance with Agricultural Quarantine Law, No 6968, the Agricultural Quarantine Rule and EU regulations. Survey procedures and analytical methods are described; surveys are conducted by the Agricultural Research Institutes, and results are submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Details on eradication and disinfection techniques are included in the present Communiqué. Plants and crops are imported through the entry ports that are indicated in Annex III of this Regulation. An Health Certificate from the country of origin shall be presented to the customs during importation. Those who wish to import plants and crops shall apply to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs for "Plant Import Permit". Import procedures are given in details. This Regulation shall apply to imports through free zones.
