The Commission has hereby laid down particular recommendations to Member States as regards the reduction of (i) poorly biodegradable ingredients in detergents; (ii) the consumption of detergents and their packaging, with a view to lowering the general environmental impact related to detergents; (iii) washing temperatures, in order to decrease energy consumption and thus CO2 emissions. The Annex attached to the Recommendation concerns the collection of relevant data and the monitoring of the implementation of the Recommendation itself.
