This Decree, composed of 9 articles, creates the Protected Area of Tamoios (APA-TAMOIOS),in the municipality of Angra dos Reis. The aim is to grant environmental protection, landscape preservation as well as geo-hydrological and ecosystem conservation. The protected area shall be composed of a continental part and of an insular one. The Decree requires the Commission for Environmental Control (CECA) to monitor infractions to this Decree.
