Fodder Plant Seeds Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (S.S.I. No. 380 of 2004).

The amendments to the principal Regulations give effect to Commission Directive 2004/55/EC which amends Council Directive 66/401/EEC on the marketing of fodder plant seed. These Regulations amend the definition of Festulolium to provide for a wider range of crosses of the species Festuca and Lolium falling within the scope of the Council Directive (Regulations 4 and 6). They also lower the minimum germination standard for seed of field beans (Vicia faba L.) from 85 v to 80 percent.
