Legislative Decree No. 151 implementing Directives 2002/95/EC and 2002/96/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and on waste disposal.

In compliance with the rules laid down at the European Community level, this Legislative Decree establishes provisions concerning the prevention of waste resulting from electrical and electronic equipment and, furthermore, aims at promoting the reuse and recycling of such waste, as well as the restriction on the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Annex 1 defines the equipment which falls within the scope of this Legislative Decree. Penalties are laid down under article 16.
