This Decree, composed of seven articles, implements Decree No. 23.082 on the Environmental Protection Policy. In particular, it institutes the Environmental Protection System, to be established within the Secretary for Health and Environment. Moreover, the Decree defines the bodies integrated in the System and provides the System’s basic functions, such as the definition of normative guidelines, technical monitoring and specific control of all bodies related to the System.
