The present Law lays down provisions relating to fisheries in Brandenburg. The purpose oft the Law is the re-instatement of efficient and competeting fisheries. In particular, it promotes the practice of rod fishing. The text consists of 44 articles divided into 9 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Fishery rights (2); Issue of fishing authorizations (3); Fishery districts and fishery co-operatives (4); Protection of fish stocks (5); Compensation (6); Administration of fisheries (7); Penalties (8); Transitional and final provisions (9).
