This Regional Decree is composed of two articles and one Annex. It approves the Development Plan of Southern Coast of São Miguel Island. The annexed Development Plan is composed of six Titles divided in 51 articles and two Annexes. It regulates public use restrictions, management and administration of the area, as well as zoning. In particular, the Decree regulates: bathing areas, areas subject to special environmental protection measures, other natural and cultural areas, built-up areas in risk zones. Moreover, it rules on occupation principles of other protection areas, such as forestry areas, agricultural areas and built-up areas. Finally, the Decree addresses licensing procedures of water resources use. Annexes provide maps of the area.
