The first Joint Intergovernmental Meeting session on economic, scientific and technological cooperation is in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement on economic, technological and scientific cooperation between the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of Moldova, signed on March 23th 1998 in Athens. During the session, enhancing cooperation in priority sectors, such as agriculture and energy, were discussed by the Committee. In the field of agriculture, both sides expressed their mutual interest for the development of cooperation in the agricultural sector and underlined the importance of cooperation in specific fields, such as fruit and vegetable production in greenhouses, as well as in the wine sector. In the energy sector, both sides expressed their interest in developing cooperation in the field of energy efficiency through their competent institutions.
