These Regulations amend the Foyle Area and Carlingford Area (Angling) Regulations 2001 by:(a) omitting the definition of “angling for coarse fish”; (b) removing the restriction on the use of floats in the Carlingford Area; (c) prohibiting the use of live fish as bait whilst angling in fresh water; (d) providing that on any single day during the period between 1 March and 31 May only one salmonid may be taken by rod and line and retained; (e) removing the restriction on the number and size of rainbow trout which may be taken by rod and line and retained; and (f) introducing restrictions on the number and size of pike which may be taken by rod and line and retained.
