This Act amends the Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Cattle Preservation Act, 1959. Amendments include: substitution of clause (a) sub-section (2) of section 4 with a new clause on conditions for the slaughter of agricultural cattle; substitution of sub-sections (3) and (4) of section 4 with new sub-sections dealing with the issue of certificates; and substitution of section 5 with a new section on the prohibition of slaughter of cattle in places not fixed for the purpose.
