The present Law lays down provisions relating to the keeping of bees in Vorarlberg. The purpose of the present Law is to regulate the keeping and breeding of bees including their migration. Apiculture is a part of agriculture and everybody is allowed to practice it. The text – consisting of 10 articles – deals, inter alia, with the following matters: general provisions, erection of beehives, transportation of bees, breeding of bees, use of hazardous pesticides, survey by competent authorities and penalties.
