This Methodical Instruction shall be applicable to sample selection of potable water for the determination of radiation safety indices and subsequent control of water quality standards. It shall be used as guidelines by the bodies of by the Federal Supervision Service in the Sphere of Consumer Protection and Human Well-being carrying out sanitary and epidemiological assessment of potable water in accordance with radiation safety indices. The objective of sample selection shall be to obtain discrete sample of potable water reflecting quality of water under research. The purpose of sample selection shall be to identify pollution sources of waterbody.
