These Rules implement provisions of the Spices Board Act. The Rules, among other things, provide for: constitution of the Board; appointment and definition of functions of the Executive Committee, Research and Development Committee for Cardamom, Market Development Committee for Spices; powers and duties of the Chairman of the Board; application forms and procedures for obtaining certification of registration; and finance, budget and accounts of the Board.
