These Regulations amend the Biosecurity (Ruminant Protein) Regulations, 1999. Amendments include: the insertion of new definitions of dedicated equipment, feed production process and mobile feed manufacturer in regulation 2; substitution of the definitions of ruminant and ruminant protein with new definitions; insertion of new provisions to regulation 7(b) and revocation of regulations 7(e) and 7(f); insertion of a new regulation 7A on ruminant protein control programmes to be audited; minor word changes to regulation 12A; insertion of a new heading and new regulation 12 b on dedicated equipment for the production of feed; substitution of regulations 13 and 14 with new regulations on labelling obligations and details; and minor changes to regulation 18AA(1).
