This Regulation lays down the procedure, manner of award and requirements for obtaining the Environmental Label, design of the Environmental Label, use and validity period of the awarded label, composition and functioning of the Commission for awarding the Environmental Label, as well as the participation of individuals, associations and institutions in the process of awarding the Environmental Label. The objective of awarding the Environmental Label is the promotion of products with a reduced environmental impact in relation to other equivalent products, thus contributing to efficient use of natural resources and higher level of environmental protection as well as informing consumers on such products.
