This Act regulates livestock management in Victoria. The Act prescribes livestock management standards which livestock operators must comply with. Livestock operators must carry out systematic risk assessments as set out in the Act. The Act further provides for: compliance arrangements; administration of the Act; appointment and powers of inspectors of livestock; offences and penalties; court proceedings; etc.
