This Order prohibits the use of spear guns as specified in this Order except in accordance with an approval granted by Governor in Council for scientific purposes. The prohibitions regard: use of spearguns during scuba diving or snorkeling; during a closed season (defined), having a spear gun in possession on or within twenty metres of any tidal water or upon any beach or foreshore; and using or having in possession, a spear gun in a prohibited area (listed in the Schedule to this Order).
