This Regulation prescribes quality requirements for the production and placing on the market of sugars intended for human consumption, and is related to: a) terms, definitions and general requirements to be met; b) additional labelling requirements; c) analytical methods for determining compliance with the general requirements of quality. The provisions of this Regulation shall not be applied to the following products: a) powdered sugar; b) candy sugar; c) sugar cubes. The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation, containing technical data and specific analysis standards.
