The present Regulation enforces the Electricity Act, 1998 (S.O. 1998, c. 15, Sch. A). In particular, the Regulation sets out the definition of key terms used in the renewable energy sector, such as “Renewable Energy Generation Facility”, “agricultural waste”, “biofuel”, “biogas” and “biomass”, “biodiesel”, “farm operations”, etc.
